All events are subject to change...

September 12th,
I'm sure you are aware this Saturday, September 13th is scheduled to be our first ever Kids' Day and with all events subject to change!

Everyone is aware the Market is always Rain or Shine!

As of right now the weather forecast is showing 88% chance of rain... for Saturday, while the Market itself will definitly be OPEN, regardless of the weather, rain doesn't make for a great Kids' Day as the events organized don't work well in the rain! So this is just a heads up that we are patiently waiting to see what the weather brings, and we may reschedule Kids' Day!

Check out the Facebook page tomorrow for further updates!

September 11th,

Yesterday was awesome, while the clouds looked threatening, the rain held off until around 4:30pm and then began to drizzle off and on until about 5:00pm, then it began a light rain. While no one wants to get wet at anytime, rain at the end of the Market is definitly preferred to first thing or an all day rain...so for that we were thankful!

Thanks to Josh Dimmel and Shawn Blais for your tunes...

This Wednesday, August 27th, we will have two entertainers...Nick Cangiano, noon to 2:30p, who has busked at the Market a number of times. This is going to b his last time as he will be returning to school very soon. He is self taught, sings and plays the guitar and ukelele...since last winter! Stop by to see Nick his tunes are great.

The second busker is Josh Dimmel, this will be Josh's first time at the North Bay Farmers' Market. I know Josh plays around town so if you are looking for a chance to hear him, this is it!

This is what Josh says about himself...Josh is a rock artist from North Bay, who for the past 11 years has dedicated every ounce of energy into playing solo, with bands, live, jamming and recording. He first hit the stage when he was 14 in his first rock band and plans to do it until he can't anymore. With an album coming out this fall called "Paranoid Reality" he plans on spreading it as far as possible. Josh has been playing in and out of North Bay for years. He lives off of one quote he created several years back; "Enter Undiscovered & Leave With An Impact". Bio and photo courtesy of Josh.

The 3rd Annual Garlic Festival is just around the corner...are you ready for the pungent aroma and spicy taste of fresh garlic?

If you haven’t tried fresh garlic now is your chance… there will be an abundance. For those not familiar, fresh uncooked garlic is more aromatic and spicy, compared to fresh roasted garlic which is sweeter and milder in flavor. Your tastes determines how you use it.

August 21st,

We had a mixed bag of weather yesterday at the Market, it rained for most of the set up, the skies then cleared up somewhat, everyone was happy as it didn't rain, with a couple of peeks of the sun, it was warm, but at take down time it began to rain and believe me it poured...but...the Market is and always has been Rain or Shine!

It was great our customers were able to shop, visit with friends and vendors, and listen to the sounds of Bob Barraclough who was able to play the whole Market, so for all this we were very thankful!

We were very happy to see Ken at the Market yesterday, I know the children were happy to have him twist awesome creations for them! Thanks for stopping by Ken...

Awesome...that is the word that comes to mind when I think about Saturday, August 2nd...the weather couldn't have been better, the people came out despite the lack of parking in the area, for which we were thankful and the music had me singing along!

Thank you has to go to the vendors for their patience in the early morning hours of set up, which by the way, was completely different from last year, so a bit of a learning curve...it went very smoothly!

Vern Vaillancourt always does his best to make the day special...and he didn't disappoint!

I don't think Ken the Balloon Dude or Melissa Sohm the face painter had a spare minute on Saturday...the kids loved their special balloon creations and cool face paint!

To all who helped to make the day special...we are thankful!
